I have been going to Serenity for over a year and was very happy with them. Today was a completely different experience and the last time that I will go there. It has changed since the new owners took over. It was elegant before and they catered to their clients. It now feels like a factory where they want to get you in and out and push additional services on you. It is very cold and unwelcoming. They are disorganized and don’t care about pleasing the client. They used to be an OK salon, but all my recent visits have been disappointing. I kept going because I wanted to give them another chance, thinking that maybe the specific technician I saw wasn’t experienced enough. Unfortunately, this last visit was disastrous. My nails looked like a six-year-old had done them—full of bumps and imperfections. Later, the technician blamed me, saying it was because I didn’t mention from the beginning that I wanted chrome. I’m a costumer since the opening with original owner , the new one is insensitive speak in her language all the time in front of costumer I went yesterday to do gel manicure , one of the massage guys went asking all the costumer’s if they would like to have a massage twice and skipped me twice , and i was the only black person in there I did adress the issue with the owner who didn’t want really to hear what I have to say, and I asked her if the employee have an issue with black person!! Sadly felt the change under the new ownership. In the past I’d always felt warm and welcomed to this nail salon even bringing friends because I enjoyed it so much. Now upon entry, I did not feel welcomed, I get as if I was an inconvenience to the receptionist. She did not ask what color I’d like for a nail polish, only yelled for a tech to come and the tech ushered me to a chair, where in the past the owners would do that.
