Very Pricey Diner food The food wasn't bad.... but not that great and way too expensive for what you got. First of all, they wouldn't substitute mashed potatoes for a baked potato; then the vegetable medley squash had a gray tinge to it that spoke of two-day old leftovers. We ordered an appetizer of scallops wrapped in bacon for $12 and got exactly 4 scallops --- Really?!?!? $3.00 per scallop? The scallop entree for $18+ had 5 scallops --- not a great improvement. Large servings do not equate to quality food Our party of 7 ate at Serendipity on Sunday, July 12, 2009. The salad was very good as were the ribs and my dish was not salty, which is the best thing I can say about it. Most of the food served was overcooked. The crab ravioli was the worst. The presentation was offputting. After serving the meal the server never returned to our table to ask if everything was alright. We told the young lady and a young man at the front about the meal. Great views Good food with great views on the Indian River. Drive or dock your boat here. The service is great and the food is consistently good. Great place for lunch, dinner or just sitting on the deck with a cool cocktail.
Aside from the 1 hour and 40 minute wait for food (after ordering which also didn't include the 30 minute wait for a table and seeing multiple tables come in after we ordered, eating and then leaving before we even got our order), the wrong fish being served to me after that time (a SMALL portion of tilapia instead of the flounder I ordered), the manager refusing to see us after multiple requests regarding the long wait and then acting like a total jerk to us when we went to pay by completely lying to us about how long it to... read more

We have had dinner here in the last month several times, and everything we have had was top notch, portions are huge, service was great. Atmosphere was fun, We will definately be coming back.
We love everything about this restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is terrific, we always take some home, because the servings are so big. I have recommended them to many people and everyone feels the same as we do, they will be back again.
