Slow service. Why would I have to wait over an hour to simply draw blood? A better efficient system needs to be implemented. All I needed is blood drawn. Unacceptable.
Belle Harbor is normally a warm friendly inviting place. But today was the first experience I had. My husband came in for wound care and the nurse put his gauze and wound care supplies on the trash can lid. And I did let her know that wasn't ok or sanitary. I've never been to a hospital and staff did that. It was very worrisome and pretty sure violated multiple health codes.
I cannot praise the medical care providers here at Belle Harbour ER enough for the way they took care of my 97 year old mother yesterday. The PA, Matthew Lilly, could not have been more caring and compassionate, and he explained everything they were doing to treat her in great detail. The nurses, especially Lindsay, were wonderful. Other nurses and help also came in from time to time and helped her. (The names on the board were Nicole and Madison.) I find this place to be completely incompetent. They are friendly and all but, I've been twice and left with no help. The last time they subjected me to hours of discomfort with nothing to drink and two unnecessary ct scans that lead nowhere because the staff completely disappeared for three hours. I wound up going to obici where they diagnosed me with no CT scan and fixed the problem. Obici ER is great and on the ball where Bell harbor is cruel and unusual. Hopefully I'll never have to go there again.
