Four different women from SAH stayed with my 96-year-old mother-in-law for 4-6 hours on 4 separate days as companion caregivers when we had to be more than an hour’s drive away from where we three were staying for an out-of-town visit. The first time we returned, we found the two deep in conversation, which surprised us. The fourth time, we weren’t surprised at all. I had a wonderful experience with a very capable, kind and knowledgeable home caregiver from JFCS when I returned home after being in the hospital. She was efficient, asked great questions, took notes to remember what needed to be done, was pleasant to be around, followed through on what I needed help with and prompted me when necessary. I would definitely use JFCS again for this kind of service.
