Stopped by on a post nor-easter day. Not our first time here. We love this place. Today we got tea and baklava. They make the best baklava and other desserts. Lurkin was our very handsome server. He is from Istanbul. Speaks excellent English and shared some things about Turkey.
I don’t normally leave a review unless the meal was exceptional or poor. In this instance Semra’s was super disappointing. The price at checkout for chicken gyro salad, kids chicken and rice, kofte kabob wrap and lamb/chicken platter was $80, expensive but I was thinking the portions would help justify it. Semra’s Mediterranean Grill is such a lovely find! We tried the babaganoush pita, shawarma roll, and lamb Adana kebab, and everything was really enjoyable and flavorful. The Adana kebab in particular was a great choice. What stood out just as much as the food was the warm, welcoming hospitality. The owner/ staff were incredibly nice and made us feel genuinely welcomed.
