They lied to me and my family about having transportation. Now my daughter doesn’t have transportation to and from school. She was transferred on a program of emphasis and I was assured that she would have a bus. I spoke with the assistant director Joyce A Moore and she was not helpful, had no empathy and truly was worried more about the “more pressing issues” she was needing to take care of. We love Seminole county for the incredible education, but the transportation department does not live up to the same standards! My children's elementary bus, #160 has been incredibly late, no show, and today did not bring my child home from school! My 7 y.o. was able to offer to stay at school b/c he said his dad worked from home and could come get him. How incredibly neglectful and irresponsible can you get!? They really need to turn on GPS so parents can have an estimate. Why is it off in the district? Bus times are very inconsistent. Today the bus was about 40min late, I called and the employee was very rude, I never treated her unkindly. It would have been to at least be treated professionally. These kids on the bus are very small and most are not accompanied by a parent, I'm guessing because of the inconsistent times and people needing to go to work not knowing their child might be waiting so long. 40 minutes is a long time f... read more

What's the purpose of the scanning if the driver can just scan the child on the bus, whether they're there or not?
