The incompetency here is unbelievable. Our children’s bus driver gave notice she was leaving, and Seminole County failed to fill the position. Instead of ensuring a smooth transition, the route manager for Bus 85 at Bear Lake left us with leftover drivers who are consistently late. Where is the Director?! Just a few most recent examples: • Friday: bus was an hour late bringing the kids home. This place deserves 0 stars. They are making their problems your problems. There are so many things that they could do better, but they didn't. The school bus always comes 30 minutes late, but one day in two weeks, the bus comes on time. Of course, my daughter missed the bus. I called and asked and the answer was you have to come on time as it shows on the app JUST IN CASE THE BUS COMES ON TIME, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR 30 MINUTES! Bus route 142 that goes to Tuskawilla Middle School and picks up children at W SR 426 & MYSTIC LAKE DR, Oviedo 32765 is stopping at a corner before the children have to cross the lane at the entrance of the complex and the cars pass so fast that it could cause an accident. I have called several times to file a complaint and they still haven't done anything. Never in my life have I been told in ANY school district that a child can't ride a bus home if they are under a 2 mile radius from the school. Having a normal job that doesn't get out until 5pm and living on a busy highway 1.6 miles away and I'm told my kid can't ride the bus to school. This is a joke and this policy needs to change IMMEDIATELY

Reading from the comments, I already know that I shouldn’t expect any improvement. I recently moved from volusia county to Seminole county. The bus system there is by far, much better. I could easily track the bus and know when to take my kids to the bus because there is a bus locator. Here, they turned it off. So we are standing there for over 40 mins waiting for the bus when I could’ve waited at home and come out when the bus is closer.
