I completed my DIY kitchen with Ikea frames and Semihandmade door and drawer fronts. The selection and quality at Semihandmade is excellent and their customer service is just as good! I found the exact look I was going for and it turned out just like I imagined! I took my Ikea plan to their team and they created the order including trim pieces that I didn't know I needed. Everything was delivered in perfect condition. Highly recommend!
After only a few weeks, one of my panels started to delaminate. I contacted Semihandmade to see what to do. They told me to use a special glue and glue it back on. Ok. Well 5 years later, I have had to glue the edges of every single panel. Really frustrating. I also installed IKEA fronts at the same time on a sideboard. The ikea fronts are must lighter weight but I have not had a single delaminating issue with them. I wish I would have done my entire kitchen with ikea fronts. I cannot in good conscience recommend Semihandmade. It will not last. This started happening after a few years and has just gotten worse and worse to the point that we now have to replace them. The cabinet doors were not cheap, especially since we had them delivered to Texas. I regret choosing to work with this company, and I just want to make sure others are aware this is what you are signing up for.
We have used Semihandmade fronts in multiple kitchens now—love the design options and ease of install. They gave us the custom look we were going for with the ability to DIY and save significantly. Both kitchens have held up beautifully over the years!
