Had an opportunity to access the observatory during the National Trails Day events. It's very neat. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The telescope is a reflecting telescope that outputs to a digital screen. It's situated in what looks like a farm silo, but was in fact purpose-built. Winter is typically a better time for observations and the Radford professor thought there might be some more open days at the end of the Fall semester. Radford's hidden gem. Definitely will keep an eye out for more opportunities to go.
Wonderful facility and well maintained paths. Next time I'll visit the river area.
