I called and made a service appointment a week ago. Today, I drove 42 miles to have our subaru serviced. It has a rattle in the front end, which I mentioned when I made the appointment. When I got to the service department today, they "explained their procedures to me." I was informed that I had made an appointment "to drop my vehicle off." I was told they would have the diagnosis done by next Tuesday (5 business days) and then I would have to approve the repairs. They had no loaner/rental until the middle of next week. No longer going to visit for service. Scammed my wife into unnecessary oil additives, she said it was added without her knowledge or consent. The whole point of genuine Subaru certified full synthetic motor oil is that it is specifically formulated for Subaru engines. If Subaru's full synthetic oil now requires extra additives why are we getting it at all? This is a long review and that's because the process is important. I've been looking for a Subaru Forester ever since they came out. I had an outback but it wasn't my dream. My fiance found a Forester for a really good price so she asked if we could put a hold on it. She was told they don't do that.
