We had a wondering time at the Durrand Glacier this summer. Everything from the terrific food, the logistics, and the friendly staff were all wonderful. We'd love to go back.
The rooms were basic but fine. Everything else was exceptional, the guides, the friendliness of everyone there. And the food. It was one of the best vacations I've had.
The stay at the Durrand Glacier Lodge was fabulous in every way - all the other people in our large group agree. The lodge was beautiful, well organized, clean and Carl created incredible meals and snacks in the small kitchen. Our guides, Tate, Talia and Fiona, took us on amazing hikes, gave assistance when somebody needed it, were knowledgeable about the area and nature. I had the time of my life at Durrand Glacier Chalet. Even though we only stayed for five days, the staff made us feel right at home and truly part of the family. The guides were incredibly helpful and competent leaders who “read” the group well and adapted each hike to our needs. At times, we were challenged, but that was all part of the adventure—and the fun! The food was fantastic, and the Chalet had everything we needed to feel comfortable and cozy. A wonderful back country lodge! Amazing views, hikes, food. The guides were excellent with great personalities. A beautiful ambiance and you are made to feel as part of the family. Food was amazing, especially considering that the lodge is located at ~2,000 M with access only via helicopter. Thanks for a wonderful time. D and M
