Horrible Customer Service – I had a lousy experience with Selima. I ordered my Alain Mikli glasses from them, and they told me they would be ready in one week. I called and was told the lenses were not in, and to wait another week, I called again, and again the glasses were not ready. I called the third week, and still no lenses--I said if I could not get them within the next week I would cancel the order--and, miraculously, the vey next day the glasses were ready--I guess they had the lenses after all. Aweful Service!!! – I needed glasses for the first time recently and scoured the city for the perfect pair. I acknowledge that I'm not the easiest client--I have lots of questions, and don't make up my mind quickly, but if I'm going to spend hundreds of dollars on an accessory that goes on my face, I'm going to make sure that I like it. cheap quality behind a glamorous facade – Behind expensive known designer products are many cheap quality items of unknow brands. I bough a pair af "unknown Selima" glasses which fell appart within weeks. Customer service is slow and not very helpfull if not rude. My BF was ready to say something when they decide not to help us but we rather walk out and never go back again.

Terrible service, terrible quality, rude, these peopel should not be allowed to be in business – I bough a prescription pair of sunglasses for about $650. The glasses were Selima's own brand. After 1 week wearing them I noticed scratches on the inside of both lense. Thurns out the design was so poor that the tip of the side arm was scratching the inside of the lenses (1/4 inch scratches) when the glasses were stored in their case. Shopped everywhere, found this the best – I bought progressive lenses (my first) at their shop on Bleecker St. in the West Village after trying on an absurd number of frames in more than one country. The woman helped me find the best frames for me and kept the cost down. The service was excellent. She inspired my confidence as I'm new to progressive lenses, assured me they'd help if I needed it (didn't) and left me feeling totally satisfied. I'd shopped around a lot. SEXY IN SELIMA! – WENT TO THE MADISON AVENUE STORE. WITH THE HELP OF SHIRLEY AND MY BOYFRIEND, I PICKED-OUT A FABULOUS PAIR OF NEW GLASSES. WHO WOULD WEAR CONTACTS WHEN THE GLASSES LOOK THIS GOOD!! THEY HAVE A FRAME TO SUIT EVERYONE AND THE SALES HELP IS TOP NOTCH. THE PRICES ARE GOOD TO BOOT - I PAID MORE FOR MY LAST PAIR OUT IN SUFFOLK!! I NEVER THOUGHT GLASSES COULD BE SO SEXY!!
