It’s a pretty average place. They get you in the office with a great monthly rate which changes instantly with mandatory insurance and taxes on top. The thing that I really can’t stand is they don’t have one single trashcan. Get trashcans!!!! At least one
I recently rented a unit here, and while everything looked fairly clean from the outside, I quickly realized that wasn’t the case. After moving some of my things, I noticed my clothes were covered in dust and dirt — the place was much filthier than it appeared. When I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, it was absolutely disgusting. The sink was black and grimy, clearly from people washing off dirt after moving their belongings. Had my unit flooded and it was like fighting tooth and nail to get a replacement unit at the same price and size. Months after that they nearly DOUBLED my rent from 100 to 180 dollars. They never communicated this via email, which they communicate everything else: Invoices, payments due, even insurance policy changes are via email. But "according to Virginia state law" all they have to do is communicate the rent increase via physical letter. They count on you being too busy to move your stuff. Once it's in the unit they double your rent.
Now.. It has now become a poorly maintained facility and this management is increasing the rent 100 percent without any notice to their customers. It’s very disappointing to note the condition of this place where no proper cleaning is done. The haphazard manner of rate increase will definitely drive the customers away.
