Arrived at Self Storage Plus in McLean around 1:30pm on a Thursday! Was not a holiday but front office vacant and no notice/sign indicating why! The main elevator was DOWN! Sign telling customers to use back "smaller" elevators! Only 1 elevator out of 2 working and 1 moving cart barely fits in the elevator!!! Luckily I was not moving an entire house into storage!!! And luckily no one else was moving this day! Could only find 2 carts for 3 people!!! AC fans were also NOT turning!!! Am completely disgusted with the quality of ... read more
Not enough carts for the amount of people that come and use multiple carts. Elevator and power outages are inconvenient
Roman was INCREDIBLY helpful, kind, and patient. He helped us with a last minute moving snafu, was so informative, and I truly don’t have enough good things to say. Not only did he help us get a larger unit on the spot, but personally came upstairs and cleaned it for us and helped with the movers. For someone with no experience with self storage and a ton of moving stress - Roman made the process so, so easy. I feel so comfortable knowing my things are safe and sound here, and that there is such exceptional customer service.
I signed up here last year took up a small storage to store things closer to home and to see if they live up to their 4.5 star reviews, I was going to move my bigger storage to here, too. Not happening now. They've had the AC out for 4 days in what's supposed to be temperature controlled facility. I went there again this weekend, no AC running and it was cooler outdoors than inside. Also, they used to accept online payments, but now charge a $5.95 processing fee on top of the rental fee. Calling to make a payment on the phon... read more
Manager was very pleasant to deal with. Rate increased twice in 18 months. The first time they sent paper notice and an email. The second time they only sent paper notice which was not received. No courtesy email sent. Buyer beware.
