I would not recommend this facility to anyone. I believe my mother passed due to their lack of care, and the experience was devastating. It took the staff four hours just to obtain blood. Only one physician ever came to see my mother, and he neither acknowledged nor explained the complications she was experiencing. He also showed no compassion during the process. I toured this facility in February of 2025 while assessing potential facilities for my father after a stay in the Villages Hospital. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness, friendliness, and professionalism that I saw during the tour. He was not able to come to Select Specialty Hospital initially, and unfortunately, I have had to tour quite a few care facilities because my dad’s wellness journey has been a rollercoaster over the past 6 months. I can’t say enough good things about this hospital! My husband has been there twice in the last two months, and the care he’s received has been outstanding. Unfortunately, due to poor care at two different skilled nursing facilities, he developed MRSA, a UTI, and later sepsis. These complications led to multiple surgeries, including removal of his hip replacement and the placement of antibiotic spacers.
