My family’s experience at Select Specialty Hospital – Nashville West was deeply concerning and traumatic. My father was transferred here while ventilator-dependent, and throughout his stay there were repeated issues that raised serious questions about the level of care being provided. I can't say enough wonderful things about this facility. My daughter was involved in a MVA on October 28, 2025 were she was ejected and sustained a head injury. She spent 17 days at Vanderbilt then she was transferred to Select Specialty Hospital Nashville West. She spent the next 61 days at Select. When we arrived she was still in a minimally conscious state, she had a trache & on the ventilator, was unable to speak, was being fed through a feeding tube and had very little mobility in her extremities. During January 2023 this family member heart transplant "Gift of Life" recipient was transferred from Ascension St. Thomas West (ASTW) Hospital into Select Medical on an upper subleased floor located at ASTW. The express goal was "ventilator liberation". Various pulmonologists visit the Select floor on some random schedule no one could identify.
