There are 2 patient aides, and 3 nurses, who I can honestly say are amazing. The doctors in here don’t like when the patients ask questions regarding their diagnosis either. So far this admission. I definitely would not recommend. Saturday (December 20,2025) this was the next to the last night of my admission here. When I needed something tht I couldn’t get for myself, I did as they always told me to do, which was push my call button. My mother was under care at Select Specialty Laurel Highlands for just under two months, and she received exemplary care from the medical team there. From day one, they are focused on doing what it takes to get patients out of the hospital. Like many who find themselves at an LTACH, my mom arrived with a trach and on a ventilator. Over the course of her treatment, she was weaned off the ventilator and eventually the trach was removed. My mom was thrown out of here because they said they only keep patients 30 days and she had no home care set up at home and this hospital did not care.
