This place is a nightmare please do not send loved ones there. They did nothing but tie him down and drug him. Now at osu in 4 days he is finally recovering with respect Pulled back on drugs and up doing actual physical therapy and weaning off vent. He told me he thought he was in hell there they would mess with him I would find cartoons on tv and him not being able to change channels or call a nurse. It's a torture chamber!
Our loved one has a brain injury and had a 6 week stay in this facility. While in their ICU area we had numerous issues. We had a nurse being rough with our loved one while they were on the vent. The incident caused the trach to be ripped out of their throat. This was not the first time this nurse had been rough and afterwards we asked if the nurse would no longer take care of our loved one anymore because of this issue. The hospital made no changes. Our uncle was in the facility for about a month, and the staff were all exceptional. What was most special is that the CEO of Select Specialty Hospital, Lisa Pettrey, allowed us to have a big party in the facility’s conference room to celebrate our uncle’s 85th birthday and 70th work anniversary. She, Stacy, and the entire staff were very involved in the preparations for the party, and we had about 50 guests, including a crew from the local news station. It was a wonderful experience, and our family is very appreciative.
This place was horrible. The staff were not focus on getting my brother better, instead they pumped himr full of oxycodone. He did not eat the entire time and the dietician or physician did not offer tubal feeding or a PEG. He was there for 3 weeks for rehab and left the facility with an infected neph tube and he left weaker than he came in. I would give it zero stars but it wouldn't let me.
