DO NOT USE THEY HAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE – Seegars does not stand by their work and they have poor customer service. When we initially had our fence installed they busted a water line and refused to take responsiblity and wanted to send their staff home w/o finishing the job. This is really bad for a company to do this. We called them recently and wanted to get some repairs done on the fence and the refused to come out. Seegar's Fencing - Never Again – We had a fence installed on a rental property we own. The fence panels have blown out on numerous occassions, the post caps have also blown "away." We've pretty much done our own repairs because we knew it would be done right. There is a large gap between the door latch and the fence post and also sags meaning we have to "pick up" the door in order for it to latch. Buyer beware...expensive and the installation was of poor quality.
Great Service – We live in Northern Virginia where we have had serveral fence projects installed in the last few years. We have a family home in South Hill, Virginia that we wanted to have a privacy fence installed. I could not find anyone from the local area that could do the project within the time spand we wanted it to be completed. We found Seegars Fence online. Completely satisified – Contacted Seegars as well as two other large fence companies in Raleigh for a small job. Seegars' price was 15% lower than the other two. They built the fence on time and the workmanship was great. No complaints.
The price does not warrant the customer service or workmanship. After the fence was installed, I had about 18 boards which were cracked or chewed up. It took about 6 calls before I was able to talk to someone. I mentioned to the rep how many boards I had and marked each one. Nobody called to say when they were coming. They missed about 4 boards and needed to come back. After 2 months boards started to warp and the gate was having problems closing. The latch wasn't lining up anymore. Good Service – We had seegars give us a quote and felt that their prices were mostly in line with other companies. They were very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. We decided in the end that we were not going to be able to afford a fence. We see their fences all over the place and they obviously build quite a few around the area. We hope to be able to save up and maybe afford one soon.
NO WAY -- CALL ANOTHER COMPANY – We called Seegars and the price they gave us was outRAGEOUS. We could have had TWO fences built for the price they told us. They were late coming to do the estimate and said they had a several week waiting list. Im not sure who would want to wait for them to build their fence, since the amount they wanted to build it ONLY MAY have been reasonable if we were really desperate. NO THANKS.
Poor Customer Service! – Very disappointed in this company. Originally given a start date of 2 weeks. They were a month behind that schedule when they actually got started. We were told it would be a 2-3 day job. A week later they were still fixing mistakes on our fence. Our fence is improperly spaced and they've had to come back twice to fix issues with the gate. When we called to complain, it is very difficult to get anyone to call us back. Save yourself a lot of frustration and use another company!
