Seefeld Boatworks serves Northwest Lower Michigan and beyond in the maintenance, repair and restoration of wooden boats. We do anything from small repairs to full restorations on boats of all sizes, from canoes and rowboats to schooners and motor yachts. Custom projects, interiors and finish work are also within our purview wether on your classic wood or modern fiberglass boat. We work out of our shop in Suttons Bay and also do mobile work either on the water or at the yard. Call us to discuss you project.

Eric is an incredibly skilled shipwright equally capable of major full restoration projects on boats large and small while also able to create beautiful fine wood projects to provide the finishing touches to a fine vessel. Not only is Eric an incredibly skilled shipwright, he's also one of the nicest people you will every encounter.
Not only is Eric a master at his craft, he is very kind and patient with his clients. There is no limit to his knowledge and ability to get the job done in a timely manner at a reasonable price by today’s standards. Eric is very accommodating and willing to do what it takes to assist his clients. Boating is stress free and enjoyable thanks to Eric!!
Traverse Tall Ship Company owns the 100 ton schooner Manitou. We have hired Eric to complete multiple projects for us, the largest being laying a new deck.
