Worthless company, especially for WC claims. Injury occurred over a week ago. Patient needs referral to an orthopedist but Sedgewick seems content with sitting on it and not sending the referral out. In this digital age, there is no excuse for an injured worker to be waiting a week to see an orthopedist. Delaying treatment only causes worker to remain off job for longer which costs company thousands. Steer clear of this company. If I could rate it -100, I would.
They denied short term disability and never sent the denial info. Found out after the deposit never came. All I got was excuses. Bad business.
Currently going through an LOA that is facilitated by Sedgwick. - the lack of communication is ASTOUNDING; you'll never find anyone on the same page who actually reads the notes from when you call in or answers questions you ask through their claims portal - they will get snarky with you when you're fed up with them; for a company that drops the ball more than a handless man you'd think they'd train their customer service reps to have a little more patience. - they make LOA's (ESPECIALLY if it's for mental health reasons) so... read more
So far worst experience in simply talking to anyone. After 3 weeks, I still have not reached a live person. I returned the call from my "claim specialist" to the 513 area code number she has left. She is never available during business hours, or any time to answer her phone. She returns phone calls from an 800 number and it goes to my spam but I've since added her to my data base so my phone will recognize her call, and I actually answered on the second ring and no one is there, then call is hung up!
