I've been here at various times over the past several years. Always a delight, whether here for overnight accommodations or for a meal - or, as yesterday, an unannounced stop-in (in a Monday, when the restaurant was closed.) George made us feel very welcome and offered a tour of the grounds. Great fun! This is a beautiful and very unique property, with amazing accomodations, wonderful meals, welcoming owners, George and Aldy, and their staff. It's always a special privilege to experience Secrets on the Lake.
Stunning place, magic from the first moment. We arrived without knowing anything, unfortunately the cafe was closed on Monday but we had the great pleasure of meeting the owner, so kind and so so passionate about his unique business. We visited on a Monday and restaurant was closed. But still able to see beautiful setting, ornate wood carved furniture and artefacts. Then they took us for a guided tour to the amazing tree house accommodation bungalows set in rainforest and showed us a bungalow. It was amazing and so beautiful, it was worth visiting just to see the whole place and gorgeous tree house luxurious bungalows - private, spas, views, gorgeous timber hand crafted furniture and cabinetry. Secrets On the Lake will always have a special place in my heart! With its calming, whimsical rainforest and enchanting views - there could not have been a better place for my fiancé to propose.
