It's a decent manison but in an industrial area. The views from the backside of the house are good. The management is bad and often non-existent. Due to the trouble with management before arrival, during our visit, and afterwards, stay away. The chef was a bright spot in stay. There are so many excellent lodging choices in Alaska, I recommend searching further. The house is for sale and I think the owners/management want out of it as they don't run it well at all.
Excellent company and takes amazing care of their guests. Facilities are fantastic. Plenty to do, great for business events or families.
So many things about this place are beautiful, magical, and amazing. We planned our wedding here and had about 20 of our family, guests stay here. Worked with their staff out of season, in October. Only drove by looks nice from outside. Never be able afford that place.
To be clear, the house is amazing and by and large we had a great time during our week there with family. In complete fairness the house itself met or exceeded all of our expectations going into the experience. A few days after checkout we received an egregious bill for approximately $1,000 in charges for alleged damages to the property.
