I will edit my review to be more direct.I understand these bicycles are being put together with used parts and I don't expect to get a pristine bike. The bike we purchased was not any cheaper than one we could purchase elsewhere but we thought it was a good cause. The gears have never worked right. The first time we brought it back to be fixed they charged us an additional $30 even though it was an issue with the parts on the bike initially. I bought a bike there. It was okay for the price but nothing great the gears never worked quite right. I convinced my boyfriend to buy a bike there which was a higher price and never worked. First when he took it home the tire wouldn't hold the air they replaced the tire but within a few months the gears were slipping. They pretended to fix it and charged him another $30 for that. Hands down the best shopping experience I have had in a long time. I came into second life bikes this morning in search of an assortment of obscure used parts for a bicycle that I am building. Ended up staying for hours pouring over the vast selection of new and used parts and having an incredibly pleasant time shooting the breeze with Pete and Greg.
