I went in today just to look around and associate. Let me know about some sales that were going on and asked if I needed any help to just let them know. I love that that they’re not right up your hand and trying to push you to buy something they just let you know what’s going on and then let you do your browsing. I happened upon Second Gear by chance as I was in from out of town. Great selection and knowledgeable and friendly staff. I can't wait to use my updated cycling gear!
"Passive Aggressive" review responder to google reviews as well as "sales" assistants would be the TWO words I would use to describe the atmosphere of this establishment. Admittedly, the employees are probably not paid what would be considered a living wage for the AVL area by the Black Dome/Second Gear owners so this may explain why no less than 4 (yes FOUR) of the 5 employees I interacted with were much less than "enthusiastic" to answer my questions as well as not trained in the differences of equipment that would be in t... read more
