Seaview Health is a last bastion of personal health care. Dr Duffy is a very diligent and observant doctor and on one occasion mentioned my palor- and aftef a few pertinent questions sent me off to the heart specialist who discovered I was on the brink of an event which was headed off. Other clinics tend to push you through line cattle. In terms of bulk billing governments put out virtue signalling about their support for GP clinics whilst squeezing them to provide more for less. My daughter has been seeing Christian for the past 17 years, we have been happy with him. But after our experience with Reception staff mainly the reception manager I doubt we would ever want to return Again.
Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by the front desk staff. The receptionist was unprofessional, dismissive, and lacked basic courtesy. I was met with a cold, uninterested attitude when I asked simple questions. First impressions matter, and the front desk sets the tone for any business—this one missed the mark entirely. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue.
Dr Duffy makes clients pay for blood work that ALL other clinics will do for free. He has the option to bulk bill you but chooses to make you pay instead. Because the form is soo faded you actually dont know what he's done until you get the bill. I asked reception why I was given a functional medicine form costing me hundreds when Dr Duffy is ment to be a Dr not a Naturopath! They couldn't respond. My child seen Dr Duffy. I specified I only wanted the 'Free' blood test done this time around the last lot were hundreds, he handed me a very faded form with only his signature visible and Vit D & Zinc written in pen, turns out he gave me a functional medicine form costing us $200! Clinical labs said the Dr chose to make you pay for your bloods that these bloods are free! They said your Dr can give us an amended form and we wont charge you.
