Seattle Transmission & Auto – Three years ago I went to Seattle Transmission with my truck. The transmission would not shift. I was told it was probably a shift fork in the transmission, but possibly it could be a pin in the shifter. The price difference was $600.00 to take transmission out of truck and replace the shifter fork, or $30.00 to replace a pin in shifter. I received a call that it was ready. It was the pin. Rip-off!!! – The clutch pedal broke on my truck and the shop I usually go to said it was too big a job for them and had it towed to Seattle Transmission. First off Seattle Transmisson talked me into a whole new clutch – which I didn’t need. After a few days I called them and they said the truck would be ready in the afternoon. I picked it up and started to drive it home. BTW - They charged me a twice what I thought I was going to pay. The cab was filthy from the workmen and they’d left tools inside the truck. good shop – These folks have overhauled a couple of Chysler Torquflight transmissions for me. They have done a good job and treated me well. Price was as promised and delivered when promised. I would recommend them.

Avoid this shop like the plague! – We had our 98 Nissan Maxima towed to them in March of 2007 because of clutch problems. They replaced the entire clutch for $750. Two months later we had to tow the vehicle back to them again because of clutch problems. They did not do anything to the vehicle and instead told us to pump the clutch pedal every time we get into the car before putting it in gear.
