I had a good experience with Ryan - he was very professional and helped me understand a lot about the retrofitting process. I had three bids and chose Seattle Seismic.
This company came out and assessed my house and told me we didn’t really need to do any retrofitting. While we COULD upgrade to the latest code, they didn’t think it would be worth the cost. Big props to any contractor that takes the time to give an estimate and answer all my questions but recommends no work. Clearly they are not JUST trying to make money.
Seattle Seismic did a wonderful retrofit of my house. Ryan did an excellent job of assessing & explaining the situation, quickly provided a reasonable estimate, & was an exceptional communicator throughout. The crew came daily, working tirelessly for 10-11 hrs/day, & was always pleasant. The final clean up was the frosting on the cake. Highly recommend!
Seattle Seismic did an outstanding job on the seismic retrofit for our two-story, 1938 home. Work involved some finished basement indoor space, some crawl spaces, and some exterior work under cedar siding. Ryan’s team – Emilio and Antonio – are true craftsmen. They showed up when they said they would, worked conscientiously, kept the living areas as clean as possible, and did a tremendous job not just securing the anchor bolts and plates, insulation and sheathing but also restoring walls and spaces that had to be disturbed. ... read more
