Writing this years after my carpal tunnel surgery performed by Dr Miyano. I couldn't have had a more positive experience all around. His expertise left me with a tiny incision that is now invisible, perfect healing, no pain meds needed post-surgery and a warm and caring doctor and staff to put me at ease over not being able to use my hand for a few weeks.

Seven years ago I had a small animal bit on my left thumb, in the joint and it got very infected quickly. I was admitted to Swedish and was wheeled in for surgery at about 5am in the morning. I was glad to see my surgeon was Dr Miyano. My thumb took a little while to heal and the some of the nerves had to grow back, but I have a fully functional and normal looking thumb. The best result!
Detail-oriented, competent physician who really knows his stuff. I went to him for a second opinion because another physician (in my opinion) had completely missed the mark on my diagnosis. He listened to me, and agreed with my opinion and we were able to fix my issue in a few visits. On another visit, a nurse handed him the wrong record and he thought I was another patient, but to his credit he apologized and made sure his staff knew it was unacceptable (but did it in a gentle, yet effective way).
