Really cool place! Going up to the Vista house to overlook the damn you really get a different view what's on the other side from the campground! Well worth the drive around to get to Vista house and the platform that is 750 ft below that. So well worth the drive from the campground back to Metaline and then to the Vista house.
Nice place and views of dam, great people work here.For truck drivers , deliveries go straight down the road to warehouse after talking to the security at gate. Be careful in winter weather while coming through the boundary rd is slippery with icy spots. Make sure you have good traction tires and weight on ur drive axle. Good luck
The family had a great time going through the free tour. Cool tunnels and amazing views, a must visit!
Probably the least enthusiastic tour guide I've ever had, but can't complain about the price, and it's fascinating to be inside and on top of the dam. The visitor center explains things well, but you have to take the free tour to see it.
Beautiful recreation area, free boat launch, free campground, and PeeWee Falls just up the river from the launch.
