I did not feel listened to during the mammogram, and the procedure was more painful than others previous mammograms. Additionally, the staff member in charge did not show kindness or empathy, which made the experience uncomfortable. Improving communication, gentleness, and patient centered care would make a significant difference.
Second time. Both times it was quick easy and the practitioner was great.
Front desk attendants were obnoxious and unprofessional. Heavier set guy and younger girl going on and on about how she lives next to the PCC and when she gets off work at 3:30 traffic is awful, but when she gets off at 4:30 it’s totally fine. They were so incredibly loud and clearly had no regard for the four of us waiting for what could be a life changing scan. Chat during work, I don’t care. But keep the volume to a respectable whisper. The front desk staff are absolutely lovely and the technicians are fast and efficient (exactly what you want when getting your boobs squished). Hopefully someday soon there will be a less uncomfortable way to get a mammogram, but until that happens this is where I'll keep coming!
