Daughter My mother has been living at Parkhurst now Seaside Terrance since 2006. A lot of changes have been made and all for the good. My mother is a tough cookie and very out spoken at times, but really feels at home there. Everyone seems to know her now and she is well taken care of. She is 90 and very healthy. I just have good things to say about the staff and how they taken care of my mom over the years.
Seaside Terrace Retirement I am a relative of one of the residents, and I am not happy the list to say grateful with the changes of the administrators in this community. New administrator is not to be found and when in the building, he is very limited in time and the list friendly approach. He is #8 in the last 5 yrs.Stephanie was there for one year and had resin on her own. Seaside Terrace - New Supervision Seaside Terrace is undergoing new supervision and as the familiy of one of their residents, we are extremely grateful the former administrator, Stephanie has been removed. Prior to Stephanie's entrance to Seaside Terrace, Seaside was a friendly and fun place for the residents. During her tenure she created an atmosphere of hostility toward the employees, residents and healthcare professionals that visited Seaside. Seaside Terrace I put my dad at Seaside at the end of March after getting notice from his assisted living complex that his rent was going up from $1700 to $5400 due to change in management. The staff at Seaside made me feel at ease that they could provide a safe, healthy environment for my dad. It??s not the Ritz Carlton or the Westin, but I feel good that my dad has a safe place to sleep at night, three meals a day and is given his medication when needed. Documented Abuse of Employees and Elderly!! There are many things wrong with Seaside Terrace. The current Administrator Stephanie Radu has been known to verbally abuse the elderly and I have recordings of this as well some family and residents have spoken out about the abuse heard or experienced. Melanie is a nice young girl and does not understand as she only worked part-time. Employees are abused verbally and emotionally. I had to quit as I could no longer handle the stress of the abuse. Seaside Terrace - Unfit for a loved one My daughter worked their for two years without a raise or a vacation Their patience (elderly) are not their main concern either. Management disregards state laws and put 2 caregivers where there should be 3. There is a high turnover, because management changes every six months. The owners are the only ones profitting from this facility. 95% of the workers are illegal and do not speak English. The employees are not tested for drugs. My Review & Response First of all, learn how to spell patients* before you write a review so maybe myself and others will take you somewhat seriously. Secondly, I have my own experience with Seaside Terrace and the residents are actually very much cared for. All your daughter did was work there, if it was so horrible why was she there for 2 years? Seaside Terrace is such a comfortable loving place, when I'm there I feel as I should, like I'm at a home.
