On May 2 2024 I ended up in the Jupiter ER with excruciating pain and vomiting. They sent me to get a CT scan and it revealed a large 6 to 7 cm inguinal hernia. I was given morphine by IV and sent home with a script for oxycontin. The ER doctor wanted me to consult with a surgeon right there in the ER. I wasn't thinking straight so I said no. Dr. Coykendall is amazing. I must have called during off hours, but Dr. Coykendall himself answered the phone. He scheduled me an appointment the next day and had surgery scheduled for later that week. He is a master at his craft and has a way of keeping things simple. His wife runs the front office and they make a great team. I was healed up in no time and back to my normal activities. Highly recommend!
Usually I post reviews quickly, but for something as serious as the medical field, I figure it is best to let time pass for a true good review. Let me start by saying that Dr. Coykendall and his wife, Virginia, were so pleasant to work with. They both made me feel so comfortable throughout my visits. I called Dr. Coykendall's office to consult about an umbilical hernia. Dr. C answered the phone and gave me an appointment for the following week. I was greeted warmly by his wife (and office manager/staff) and had thorough, unrushed consult about my condition. The whole experience from the initial consultation through the surgery and to follow up was very pleasant. The surgery went great and I'm fully recovered. I can't recommend highly enough.
