Searsport Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1963 by Dr. Elmore Andrews. Upon his retirement, Dr. Yvette Lahaye took over the practice in November of 1999. Dr. Lahaye, originally from Jackson, Maine, attended vet school at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Lahaye worked for a mixed animal practice in Ellsworth until assuming the reins at SVH. The vets do a good enough job but whoever their receptionist is of 11/2014 is very disappointing. She is VERY rude on the phone and doesn't call with updates on your pet's procedure even when specifically asked. Bad for business!
