Sears told me the washer repair would cost $2,200. I paid $1,800 for the washer/dryer SET. The set is 2 years old. Got 2 separate quotes same day all for $400-$600. Both repair men mentioning only one of the parts needed to be replaced, the main control board. Showed each repairman the Sears quote and they were flabbergasted to say the least. Sears, enjoy your $120 bs diagnostic fee and a never again customer!
The initial appointment day and time wasn’t going to work for me (autogenerated through warranty company). At 10am, I went on the website Sears texted me to see rescheduling options and they still had same-day appointments. A technician came out just a few hours later to diagnose! I appreciate my technician’s candor and straight fowardness on repairing my appliance. He made an assessment as to the cost of repair vs replacement. The repair costs could be almost 80% of the cost of a new unit. In the process of purchasing the replacement. Thank you in the speed of setting up the appointment.
Do not use these guys!!! This is unforgivable! If there is a 0, I would definitely give them a 0. I took off work today just meet them to get my AC fixed and they got to my house without calling me! They left without even calling me!!!
