Paul came in the morning to repair our dryer which was no longer producing heat. He found a circuit on one of the electrical boards was burned out. He didn't have the replacement board so the local parts dept dropped one off during the day and then Paul came back later in the evening to replace the burned out part. I really appreciated his dedication and going beyond the call of duty in getting our much needed dryer back to working order.
Recently we had service on our washer and dryer . The service tech called at noontime to let us know we were his next call. The service tech ( Mike ) arrived and immediately went to work cleaning the dryer , adding a needed part , re-assembling and final testing its operation . Next he addressed the washing machine ( rinse and drain ) problem . He detected that the drain hose had a "kink" on it which prevented the proper cycling . We had our washing machine serviced. Since we did the top dryer shakes and looks like it is falling off. We are very disappointed.
The gentleman was very nice & professional & he did a thorough job of checking out the dishwasher. However, I wasn't happy with the cost of the visit because when I called to make the appt. I was told it would cost $59 if the problem wasn't the machine & it cost $149.
The service person was friendly and knowledgeable. He comes every year to service our tractor and is great. I gave the review a 3 star because Sears customer service on the phone is horrendous! They cannot provide any pricing information. They cannot pre-order the parts necessary to perform the service (only the technician can do that after he comes out the first time), and they cannot put you in touch with a service person ahead of time to discuss the needs. The parts came quickly and the repair man was very friendly and knowledgeable. I call them regularly for all my appliances.
