Outrageous Experience with Sears Home Services If I could give negative stars, I would. The technician was great, found the problem, ordered the part and he scheduled the part installation for 15 May between 8 and 12. Part arrived 14 May. I got a text this morning 15 May from an AUTOMATED AI system stating the repair was scheduled for 21 May between 8 & 12 contrary to the technicians scheduling of 15 May. Since the technician had already scheduled the repair I tried several different numbers to get a real person to resolve this scheduling issue. I have a homeowner's warranty through First American Home Warraty. Today is March 6, 2025. The claim was iniated on October 17 2024. The icemaker is still not repaired. Sears has had one excuse after another. They did not have the parts, they could not find the house (it is a clearly marked subdivision). Parents have been without a Refrigerator for 3 months now. They are both elderly. They had a service guy out and he said that they would have to order parts to fix it. Since all of this has begun, they have received a total of about 11 parts to be installed that have been delivered. What good is the warranty if you cannot get any help for the elderly folks. I had an appointment on 10.18.23 with Darryl. He arrived at 9 am, I explained all the issues I've been having. He spent about 2 minutes looking at my dryer. He did manage to get it to spin once. Then he said there wasn't anything wrong with it. He did not take anytime really looking at it, did not test it out with clothes in it or even get it to spin multiple times to make sure it would continue to work. He gave it absolutely no effort. After one month, 4 attempts by 3 techs, I still do not have an operational refrigerator. Impossible to talk with a person. They just keep rescheduling. Don't use this service!

Tech didn't show to scheduled appt after I rearranged my scheduled, rescheduled it 2 weeks later. I was able to move it up to only 1 week later but absolutely unable to get anyone to speak to me on the phone. Would NEVER use this service again knowing I cannot reach anyone, can only call automated system.
