Do not take your chances with this DR. He orders extra work to be done like Ultrasound and blood work that you already provided. He tries to extract more money out of you. I heard many stories of thyroid nodules returning or not being ablated correctly by this office. So the minute I heard about this I did not want this DR ablating my thyroid. His cost is also astronomical in the 10-15k range. Find another DR out of state with better experience. This one is not it. You have been warned.
**UPDATE** The thyroidectomy did happen. After 5 rounds of RFA, I had the whole thing removed, and I'm closing this out honestly for anyone considering this route. Here's the headline: RFA more than likely saved me from a much worse procedure down the line. Those rounds bought me time, kept me out of bigger trouble, and let me arrive at surgery on my own terms instead of in a crisis. That matters. Here's the harder truth.
