I was fitted for a clamshell brace. The fit was terrible. The brace hit my esophagus and throat so tightly I could barely swallow without discomfort. During my stay at PRH my meals, ultimately, consisted of Ensure and custard. A very small adjustment was made during my stay, albeit, reluctantly, as I was pompously informed that in the thousands of braces made, very few required adjustments.
