Go With A Credit Union Credit Unions are the way to go. Your loans stay local, the fees are considerably lower than banks, and you get the personal service. Seaboard is very good to deal with, and their rates are competitive.
I would not recommend this credit union to anyone.

As a member of Maine Savings Federal Credit Union, Seaboard refused to cash a $200 check (which they refused to even look at) and they refused to even look up my account. If they had the slightest bit of courtesy to do this, they would have seen my account balance exceeded the amount of the check. However, they flatly refused to provide any service. I am extremely disappointed with the behavior of the staff there on more than one occasion. Unprofessional.
RecommendedFor those of you who are members of Seaboard Federal Credit Union make sure to check out your "you choose rewards" availability. I redeemed mine a bit ago for a 250.00 visa gift card which today came in handy because our tv died. So. Free tv for me!
