I stayed at the Sea Gypsy in the Elbert Hubbard room, for 3 nights and it was wonderful. My wife was extremely happy to get away and the breakfast was awesome. Worth every penny!! We went last month. My wife & I always wondered how wildwood was like in the winter, so we went walking on the boardwalk. Loved the Jacuzzi (out of this world) Very relaxing. One-star reviews are for nightmare experiences, and this was more on the mediocre side. But I was disappointed. We paid almost $300 for a room with a bed for two. Low ceilings, dark, cluttered. The room certainly came up short on value. I received an email saying that I could pick up breakfast at 9 a.m. Got up at 6:30, waited 2 and 1/2 hours, walked over at 9 and...no breakfast! This is our second summer booking a start at the Sea Gypsy, in the Robert Louis Stevenson room in the Carriage House building. The buildings and rooms are lovely, and that room is perfect for two parents for a small child. It also connects to the neighbouring room, which would make it perfect for extended family trips. We have our own bedroom with a TV to retire to at night, and our daughter likes having her own little trundle bed in the lounge room.
