Sea Frost makes great refrigeration products for boats and their after market service is incredible! Our sailboat has two 12 volt BDXPAW systems set up as a refrigerator and a freezer, with two electronic thermostats (ETTsc). The refrigerator stopped working while we were in a remote location but an email to Sea Frost resulted in a quick reply call. I just finished installing my SeaFrost refrigeration system…. It’s working perfectly and quietly. Cleave, Cheri and the manufacturing crew were all great and very knowledgeable. I live in New Hampshire, so I went to visit the factory. The technician I spoke with was the “newbie”, he has been there 9 years. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. This is great equipment. I installed two units, one for freezer and one for refrigeration. The stuff is so affordable, light and small in footprint that budget, space and weight don’t argue against two systems. Instead logic argues for the added redundancy. My install on a 44 ft Island packet worked on day one, and hasn’t offered the tiniest trouble or regret in 12 years. There’s damned little I buy that leaves me feeling as well served.
This has got to be the best company I have ever dealt with in the marine industry!!! Cheri and Cleave have to be two of the most patient people on the planet! I have NO refrigeration experience and had zero understanding of refrigerant properties when I started the repair and upgrades to my Leopard 43 refrigerator and freezer. It was easily 2 weeks of me calling every day, multiple times a day trying to get an older system on line and a new system installed. Not once did they lose their patience with me (and my ignorance!). ... read more
