We used our hotel managers advice and went at 5:45 to put our name in. Brought our own wine and sat for an hour. Our table was ready too soon so we changed it from table to bar. Sat at the bar at 7pm. Had excellent service, the chefs were so nice and fun to watch. Food and wine were perfect along with the sunset.
First off, this place is very cool. I would highly suggest even just going to the bar and having a drink or sitting outside for the live music. Super cool, beautiful views, great atmosphere. As everyone else has stated the wait is just unnecessary and the cash only, no online bookings or reservations and hand written wait list, is all clearly intentional. Sea Crest came highly recommended by locals and other visitors, so we were really excited to try it. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype for us. We waited outside in a line that wrapped around the building for about an hour, and then waited another hour and a half for a table inside. The atmosphere was cool, and the service was perfectly fine, but the food was disappointing. The whole experience was superlative!!! The sea food was so fresh and the chef preparations allowed the ingredients aka the seafood to shine . Highly recommend this place . We will be back !
This place is an icon and the pre-opening party in the parking lot waiting for the doors to open an experience. However the food falls short. The calamari is excellent and the salad fresh and crisp. The Alaskan halibut was stringy and had zero taste it was as if the seasoning was left out which one could over look except the sea bass was no better while the fish was fresh and perhaps a bit undercooked it had no flavor.
