The only word I can think of that properly describes Dennis and Scruggs Electric, are Heroes. I know nothing about home electric other than I hit the switch and the light comes on. When the lights in a portion of my house stopped working, Google told me how to check the breaker, and then informed me that if it wouldn’t click back, to call an electrician. I’ve had Dennis’s crew complete a couple projects for me. They are professional, know what they are doing, timely, and please any even when dealing with less than desirable situations with the city and permits.
A: was the only company to call me back at 8pm with what I considered an emergency: feeder wire in the meter can shorted and was glowing red hot. Came out at 10pm and got us safe for the night. B: came back next morning to replace the can and wires, was polite, professional and completed the work. C: fact is electricians aren’t cheap, but I found his invoice to be very reasonable. Super happy with the experience.
I had a great experience with Michael at Scruggs Electric. After a power surge, I was having trouble with a breaker and he took the time to troubleshoot it with me over the phone. He walked me through everything step by step and explained it all in a way that was easy to understand, even for someone with no electrical background. He was kind, patient, and genuinely helpful. Thanks to him, I didn’t need a service call. I highly recommend Michael and Scruggs Electric.
Used them one time to remove knob and tube wiring and get a letter for Teco, they were 30 minutes late and I had to call to see if they were on their way. On the phone it sounded like they forgot to put it on the schedule and came about an hour late. This wasn't the biggest deal, so I still tried to hire them again to verify an electrical panel for an insurance purposes.
