I got Shrimp Tempura udon from the food truck, and 95% sure it was just a pack of Nongshim Udon heated in the microwave. The tempura was also clearly not freshly fried. It was all fine, but $20 is wayyy overpriced for what it is. Edit: I appreciate the reply, but I find it very hard to believe that your udon is not in fact Nongshim instant noodles. Overpriced, and quality is not good. Husband got food poisoning after eating the poke bowl. I bought a bowl of ramen at a microbrewery from the Scrooge Maki truck. It cost $22 dollars and when it came out it wasn't much more than a 2$ ramen pack from the grocery store, luke warm broth, barely anything in it. These types of food trucks taking advantage of people and price gouging are at the end of my patience. If I can go to a restaurant and pay $16 for a full size huge steaming bowl ramen it should be $8-10 for small portion from a food truck. Shame!
Delicious! I've only eaten at the food truck, but we specifically go visit Mountain Toad Brewery in Golden where Scrooge Maki is there. Everything I've tried is incredibly tasty, to the point I usually fill up on their amazing fried dumplings and have to take the rest home lol. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. Sometimes they give extra dumplings or spring rolls for free, just to be nice :)
