I wanted to love this place, but the service and kitchen workflow unfortunately left a lot to be desired. First, I ordered a hot matcha along with an appetizer, a soup, and a main dish. The matcha was brought to the table just seconds after ordering, without asking if I preferred it during or after the meal. Had a fantastic brunch at Scratchboard Kitchen in Arlington Heights. I stopped in with a friend after grabbing coffee and talking business, and the patio at Arlington Alfresco was the perfect place to continue the conversation over a relaxed meal. I ordered the lox platter, and it was excellent. As usual, outstanding food… as well as service. That chicken caesar wrap is outstanding, but not as outstanding as our waitress Lisa!! One of my new favorite humans. Above & beyond.
I think this is one of the best suburban brunch spots in the area. Great coffee, mimosas, & unique options. Amazing for those with dietary restrictions. Tasteful atmosphere, especially outside or in the front seating area. (Byof - Bring your own table flowers lol)
