Love this Place! I have been going to Scranton Animal Hospital for a few years. The staff is great and I always get great service. The doc is good with my dogs and cats. I have a pit bull and he is great with her (NOT afraid of her at all.) I have never had a single problem going there. Their prices are very good as well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet.

Dave My dog an I have been staying with family in Florida since 2010. Dr. Dorton has been refilling my dog's heartworm meds since I left PA, but today I requested a refill and was told that since the dog hasn't been seen since 2010, the Dr would not authorize the refill.

Gentle, Caring, Considerate When my 13 year old shepard mix woke up unable to walk or eat or even hold down water, I knew it was the end. I honestly chose Scranton Animal Hospital because they were closest to my house and my dog hated car rides, so I didn't want to stress him out any more than necessary.

I support! I transferred care of my animals to Dr. D and his team after an unsatisfactory relationship with another vet in the area.

Consider yourself warned... BEWARE! THIS IS NOT A GOOD VETERINARY CLINIC!!! In May of 1996, I brought my cat into this office to have a comprehensive check-up done as we were moving to NJ and wanted to make sure our cat was healthy enough to move. We paid for a work-up which was supposed to include blood work, X-rays, the whole nine yards.

a vet afraid of dogs?? I have nothing good to say about DrN and his incompitent staff. I started going to the clinic b/c i was okay w/ the doctor but i have to say he's afrai of my dogs. Neither have ever given reason to make him this way-he specifically goes by the bad rep owners like myselftry to disprov of pitbulls. I have two of the sweetest dogs on planet Earth and he has been seeing them for over 3 yrs-he still takes a step back from entering the room when he sees them(and this is w/ NO reaction or cause from my dogs) ... read more

Caring and professional My experience with Scranton Animal Hospital has been limitied. I have not lived in the Scranton area very long, moving here from Philadelphia. I did not have a repore with any Vet in the area actually. My companion Boxer buddy of 13 years had fallen ill. I knew his every behavior, for I had him since he was 3 months old. I knew he had little time left. I knew his lifes end was evident, and called Scranton Animal Hospital to set up an appointment for his euthenasia. I must say that this experience of h... read more

always take pets here I have always taken my pets here. Since they remolded its much better. There waiting room is much smaller but you really don't have to wait long to be seen. The Dr. here are good too. I think the lady Dr. left I cant remember her name she was the only one I didn't care for too much but she was good with the dogs. The staff is pleasant and friendly. My dog knows where she is going as soon as we walk up the steps, so she doesn't like going here that much. But like a child going for shots they have to go. ... read more
