They have treated my Pitbull Red since he was a puppy. Good vet here and the lady's up front are nice.
When you've been a customer for 25+ years and you tell them you don't think your dog will survive the day and they are only taking "limited appointments", I think the least they can do is fit you in instead of letting the dog suffer. And that miserable witch that answers the phones could at least pretend to have some compassion for animals.

I've been taking my furbabies there for years and they always address their problem in a professional manner. Dr. Dorton is awesome, my Service Dog likes him and the dr lets me hold on to my dog while he examines him. From the time he was a puppy I've been holding on to him. I take my cat there as well.
Love this Place! I have been going to Scranton Animal Hospital for a few years. The staff is great and I always get great service. The doc is good with my dogs and cats. I have a pit bull and he is great with her (NOT afraid of her at all.) I have never had a single problem going there. Their prices are very good as well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good vet.
Dave My dog an I have been staying with family in Florida since 2010. Dr. Dorton has been refilling my dog's heartworm meds since I left PA, but today I requested a refill and was told that since the dog hasn't been seen since 2010, the Dr would not authorize the refill.
Gentle, Caring, Considerate When my 13 year old shepard mix woke up unable to walk or eat or even hold down water, I knew it was the end. I honestly chose Scranton Animal Hospital because they were closest to my house and my dog hated car rides, so I didn't want to stress him out any more than necessary.
I support! I transferred care of my animals to Dr. D and his team after an unsatisfactory relationship with another vet in the area.
