Had my sbc rods there for 7 weeks to replace rod bolts then he said he was unable to do the job without risking busting the pistons. I went and picked them up and I called another shop and the guy told me 1 or 2 day turn around, less than half the price of Scott and he said he has done thousands of rod bolt jobs without any problems busting pistons. I had to learn the hard way but I'm glad I was able to save some money and find another engine shop that knows what they are doing.
scott talk a mean game he might be awesome with late model engines but blower motors is out of his league and didn’t really know how a intercooler work on a street motor he had my engine 9 months before i decided to pick it up he had it in a mock up to look like it was together had lock washers on intake with 11/4 bolts which was too long and didn’t lock washer which he shouldn’t have use on intake he charge 55 dollars for valve cover gaskets but the valve covers didn’t have any on the carbs just setting on blower finger tig... read more

Big shout out to Scott and Jordan at SPEC, helped me get my sbc lined out and running awsome. Very nice facility and very knowledgeable and made me very involved in my dyno session.
