I am heartbroken to learn of Dr. Emma Jane Lackey's passing. She has been my vet for 24 years. Her care and concern for all of the animals I rescued has always been exceptional. Her passing leaves a huge hole in my heart and in my life. She will be sorely missed.
Rude people. 5 years ago I needed an emergency appointment for my dog due to swollen ears and being groggy. Without a visit or examination, they tell me she will be fine and then hung up on me! My sister and 3 other friends have taken their business elsewhere for their dogs. I recommend them as the last resort. Go to Porter Neck vet where everyone is friendly, courteous and caring!
Dr. Lackey is the real deal. I own a horse farm and have dealt with all kinds of vets my entire life. She is the modern day “all creatures great and small.” I switched to them when I had an emergency with my cat after it had been attacked by a stray dog and transferred all my small animals over to her after receiving the most excellent care. Her prices are extremely fair!
I love Dr Lackey she has helped my kitty several times when gets outside gets in trouble injured by other cats or whatever gets him she has healed him every time thanks a bunch from me and Fat Faddy
I have been going to Emma Jane Lackey for almost 30 years. She has saved some of my dogs lives and had to put a few down. One rests in peace behind the hospital. She is a true dog whisperer! I have heard her talk to dogs and they talk back. Staff is always has an answer for a question and if they don't know, they will find out and always to the point.
