Had my running 2006 Kia with 138K miles towed into Scott's Affordable Care Care to diagnois the flashing check engine light. They found the timing chain had jumped its teeth. They recommended a timing chain replacement. They required I pay them $1750 upfront before they would begin the tear down with the rest due upon completion. They tore my Kia down and found the actuators/phasers would also need to be replaced. I’m not sure why I never left a review before, but this place definitely deserves 5 stars! I came here years ago because a friend recommended it to me. It’s about a 30-40 min drive from my house, but I always felt like it was worth the drive because of how friendly and accommodating the staff is. A couple of years ago, I moved away from the Sacramento area and just recently moved back. I needed an oil change and decided to come back here again. I had the worse insperice with scout auto repair i had my car tow there the next day i call to see had the dienose it they call me bac telling me what they thought was wrong told me they couldnt get it crank but i did check it i lose my car because they did not check it out when i got there to meat tow truck dont look like had touch it so when ohe of the guys came out to park another car i said to him dont look like my car neen touch he said very rude i was the ine looke at it its not running he was so nasty i just couldnt b... read more
