I initially booked a virtual visit via Zocdoc before being told I had to come in person (which was already a bit sketchy). I proceeded to come into the office to get a stye checked out on my lower right eyelid. After some initial questions and an examination, Dr. Weissman proceeded to pop it with a q-tip without wearing gloves with no warning and without asking for my consent. It was very painful. Try another place was the suggestion.
The reception/tech are great but Dr. Weissman does not seem to know what he’s doing (tried to prescribe oral antibiotics for a simple stye and worse couldn’t even tell me if it was truly a stye) and is patronizing in his communication, bordering on sexist. Would not recommend to any woman/probably any person under the age of 50.
Poor communication, receptionist tried to charge me for a no show through Zocdoc (50$) after I left my appointment because they wanted me to pay 175$ for a lasik consultation which are free every other practices I’ve been to.
Awful Experience . Very suspicious doctor. no clear answers or solutions, refuses to listen to patients needs and beats around the bush. Don’t waste your time if you have chalazion or eyelid surgery consultation needs and you are a colored person.
